Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why is branding important?
This is a common question of clients. Even though large brands that we all recognize have spent years making a strong case for branding, some clients don’t realize exactly how important branding is when it comes to their own company/business. Branding helps companies stand out and have an identity. Branding also gives their consumers an easy way to recognize a company’s logo or colors and remember company names. This helps businesses create easy retention and keep their brand in the forefront of people’s minds.
  • What kind of graphic design services do you offer?
Logo Design, Presentation Design, Packaging Design, Infographics, Brochures, Business Cards, Posters, Signs & Banners, Print & Display Adverts, Digital Flyers, Book Jackets, T-Shirt Design, Characters/Mascots, and more! You can find more information on my Services Page.
  • Do you do custom t-shirts?
I am happy to help you design a custom t-shirt. I do not print t-shirts. However, I can help you with your design and then order those t-shirts from another company or a colleague for you if that is decided in our initial agreement.
  • Do you do any last-minute designs or quick-turnaround jobs?
This is sometimes a possibility, but it really depends on how busy I am with other clients/projects at the time. Please always know...it never hurts to ask! Just drop me a note on the Contact Me Page.
  • How does the design process work?
We begin the process with a discussion of exactly what work is desired and come to an agreement based on this discussion. From there the client can tell/show me their inspirations and depending on the type of work being done, I may give them some preliminary sketches. From there I will create drafts and based on feedback from the client, potentially a few revisions. Final designs/products will be created and sent/received as agreed upon. See my Services Page for more information.
  • How do you charge for your work?
I charge a flat fee per job. Each job will be discussed and a quote will be given before entering into a contract/agreement. Each job has a different set of requests and requirements from the client and prices may vary based on these requests. The details required per job, size of the job, and the number of drafts/revisions decided will also affect the contracted cost. See my Services Page to understand what the typical design process might look like.
  • What files will I get with my finished product?
This depends on our initial agreement. I could share a variety of file types from AI (adobe illustrator good for vector files), JPEG (for photos), PNG (for images with transparency), SVG (for scalable vector graphics), TIFF (for high-quality print), PDF (for versatile documents), PSD (Photoshop's native format), and more.
  • How do you send final products/projects?
This will be agreed upon from the beginning. Projects can be delivered through a flash drive, through cloud based file sharing programs, by email, and more. Projects can also be delivered as a physical finished product as well if the client would like specific items not only designed, but also created and delivered as a final product.
  • Can I make changes to an order I already placed?
This all depends on what part of the process we are in. We will discuss drafts/revisions in the beginning. We might agree on one draft with no revisions, or perhaps five revisions. If there is a change that you would like made after our final agreement, you can always ask. After a certain point some changes are no longer a possibility, but I always prefer to work with the client any way I can.
  • Who owns the rights to the designs created?
Graphic designers have ownership over their work. They are the authors of the designs and can retain the rights to the work unless they transfer them to a client through a contract or license agreement. This is is something we can discuss and put in our agreement/contract from the beginning.
  • What is your educational background and experience?
While attending Mount Vernon Nazarene University I obtained two undergraduate degrees simultaneously in both Art and Graphic design. In earning these degrees I have gained great knowledge in Adobe Illustrator, In Design, Photoshop, and more. I have been interested in graphic design for many years and have been exploring and learning to develop my skills and talents since 2018. For more information, visit my About Me Page.
